Character: Angas King Reserve Barossa Shiraz is selected for Reserve range, from only the most premium fruit is used to produce a low volume from low yielding old vine stock.
Single Vineyard in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Rich deep alluvial soils add the bold upfront structure and mixed dark berry fruits, licorice with overtones of mixed fruit cake. Maturation in French oak which offers soft, silky tannins. Aromas of mocha and dark chocolate stewed black plums and hints of herbaceous notes of sage and thyme. With upfront approachability a Shiraz that will cellar for many years.
Not produced each vintage – Low production. Family vineyards, hand crafted methods, small open top fermentation and basket pressed.
