Character l Cooler climate north of the Barossa Valley with valleys which add micro-climate to give a protected environment for slow ripening. The Clare region produces an elegant shiraz with ripe fruit characters, with fine tannins. Layers of blueberry, cranberries and stone fruit characters. Aged in French oak for 18 months. Herbaceous with hints of eucalyptus, rhubarb and cloves.
The Angas King range is steeped in history and heritage. Named after the founder of the Barossa Valley George Fife Angas. Greenock Estate pays respect and homage to the founder with a range of four regional Shiraz from four famous wine regions in South Australia. Showing regional character & terroir of each Shiraz. This Clare Valley Shiraz is a truly great example of a hand-crafted shiraz using traditional methods, basket pressed, open fermentation showcasing this Clare Valley Shiraz, producing fine tannins.

94 points from Wine Orbit l Super ripe and opulent, the wine shows blackberry, dried cherry, dark chocolate, cake spice and vanillin oak characters on the nose. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity with a fleshy texture and plump mouthfeel, wonderfully structured by fine chalky tannins, finishing lingering and velvety. At its best: now to 2028.
